Education is more than a path- it is a lifeline. Students deserve the opportunity to succeed; whether it be finances, lack of mentorship, or limited access to academic resources that hold them back, Avanti Cares exists to change that.
Mission
Avanti Cares is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting, uplifting, and empowering high school, college, and law students. Through scholarships, mentorships, and community engagement, we strive to open doors and create pathways to success. We envision a community where every student is able to succeed, regardless of background.
Our Impactful Initiatives
Internships
Through local colleges, universities, and the Hispanic Center, Avanti Cares is able to provide internships to student’s high school through law school. By bridging academic learning with practical application, Avanti Cares empowers students to explore legal careers, build professional networks, and develop the skills necessary for future success in the legal field.
Shadowing
Providing students with opportunities to work one-on-one with attorneys and gain firsthand insight into the life of legal professionals. Currently, two students are shadowing at Avanti law Firm, where they sit in on hearings, attend Civil meetings, and observe various aspects of the legal practice.
Workshops
Avanti Cares has taken students on a tour of Cooley Law School as well as the Michigan Supreme Court in Lansing. Workshops are meant to offer practical insights of the justice system and learning opportunities for students through interactive sessions.
Scholarships
On the fifteenth anniversary of Avanti Law Group, Avanti Cares proudly awarded $17,000 in scholarships to students at the high school, college, and law school levels. This milestone highlighted the ongoing commitment to education and empowerment, helping inspire students to their academic career with financial support.
Mentorship
Attorneys at Avanti Law Group efficiently mentor students by offering personalized guidance, sharing practical insights, and fostering professional growth. This mentorship not only enhances legal knowledge, but also long-lasting relationships that support students throughout their career.
